In the calm and comfortable surroundings of Charlottenlund Private Hospital, we offer treatment with the recognized hearing aids from Widex, Signia, Oticon and Bernafon.
Before your consultation with the hearing aid specialist, a thorough hearing test will be performed. This also applies even if you have already had a hearing test done elsewhere, as we would like to ensure that the hearing test is accurate. In some cases, hearing aid treatment will be the right solution, while in other cases, surgery or referral for further treatment at a public hospital will be needed. It is important to clarify whether your hearing loss is suitable for treatment with a hearing aid, as not all types of hearing loss can be treated in this way.
Once we have found the right treatment together and agreed on a hearing aid, the question arises of which hearing aid to choose. Many people already have an idea in advance of what is best – perhaps based on recommendations from others or information found on the internet. Some also have a specific preference for whether it should be a behind-the-ear or in-ear hearing aid, and of course price often plays a role.
After a thorough examination and consultation, you choose your hearing aid on an informed and well-considered basis, which gives you the best conditions for a good result. Should you, contrary to expectations, wish to interrupt the treatment and return the hearing aids, this is possible throughout the trial period that comes with every hearing aid purchase*.
*Please note that costs for cast impressions and custom-made plugs will not be refunded if you choose to discontinue treatment during the trial period and such custom-made plugs have already been made. You will of course be informed if it becomes necessary to take impressions for such plugs.

How is hearing aid treatment performed?
Hearing aid treatment always starts with a hearing test, where your hearing is analyzed by an audiologist or hearing specialist.
Based on the results, you will be recommended the best solution. You will then try on the hearing aid and have it adjusted to your needs. The entire process also includes follow-up and adjustments to ensure you get the best experience.
There is always a trial period before you finally buy the device - and at Charlottenlund Privathospital you get 4 years of free insurance included in the price. Should you lose your device, this is therefore covered by the insurance.
When should you get a hearing aid?
You should consider a hearing aid if you often have difficulty hearing conversations, especially in noisy environments, or if you turn the TV or radio up very loud. The sooner you get help, the better your brain will adapt to the sounds again, and the better the outcome of the hearing aid treatment.
How quickly can I get hearing aids?
We have most hearing aids in stock so you can get your new hearing aid home the same day. For our patients who come from far away, we always make an effort to ensure that you only need to come once - this means the specialist examination, delivery and adjustment take place on the same day - so you can travel home with new, well-functioning hearing aids with a full warranty and full right of return.
Can I return the devices if I am not satisfied?
YES - you have a full right of return for two months. Within this period you can get all your money back without any questions and with a smile. We collect happy customers and if hearing aids are not for you, you will get all your money back. However, you must pay for any special equipment that has been ordered for you. This applies to specially made plugs, etc. If additional equipment specially made for you is ordered, you will always be made aware of this before it is ordered.
Access for people with walking difficulties
There is access to the hearing clinic at Charlottenlund Private Hospital without having to climb stairs. When you are standing on the corner of Jægersborg Alle and Fredensvej (right at the corner of Meny), follow the sidewalk down along Meny, towards Pakkeposten, where you will find the back entrance to Charlottenlund Private Hospital, from which an elevator leads to the 3rd floor.

Information about referral to public treatment
The specialist may refer you to a public hospital for treatment. There may be a waiting time for treatment. This is stated on www.sundhed.dk. The treatment is free of charge.
Information about private treatment
At Charlottenlund Private Hospital you can buy hearing aids with public subsidy. Public subsidy is provided if it is the first time you need hearing aids, or if it has been more than 4 years since you last got hearing aids. It is important to emphasize that there will always be a co-payment - the amount of this depends on which hearing aid you choose to buy.

Information about the "Pool Scheme"
Some specialists offer treatment in a so-called pool scheme, where it is possible to get a hearing aid on the same terms as at public hospitals, i.e. without co-payment. This is not offered at Charlottenlund Private Hospital.
