Det Udvidede Frie Sygehusvalg (DUF) er din ret til at vælge et privathospital, når der er mere end fire ugers ventetid i det offentlige

Charlottenlund Private Hospital offers fast and highly specialized treatment to patients who want to avoid waiting times in the public sector, either through the expanded free hospital choice, private health insurance or as a private payer.


Vi har ingen ventetid, og vi udfører alle former for udredninger, undersøgelser og behandlinger inden for øre-næse-halsområdet. Kræftbehandlinger er en undtagelse hertil. Vi blev godkendt som aftalehospital i januar 2020 og behandler hver måned mange patienter gennem det udvidede frie sygehusvalg.

Hvad er udvidet frit sygehusvalg?


If you are a patient at a public hospital, you are entitled to be examined, examined or treated within four weeks. If this time frame cannot be met, you are entitled to be examined, examined or treated by a private hospital. If you are examined, examined or treated through extended free hospital choice, there is no co-payment for the treatment, as the costs are covered by the region.


Charlottenlund Privathospital Nordsjælland er godkendt som aftalehospital inden for udvidet frit sygehusvalg af Regionerne. Dette betyder, at selvom du bor i Region Syd eller Midt - har du således også mulighed for at blive behandlet på Charlottenlund Privathospital.

Behandlingsgaranti

The treatment guarantee comes into effect if you have to wait more than 30 days for a planned treatment, or if your surgery date is changed. For example, if you need to have your tonsils removed and the treatment guarantee of four weeks cannot be met in the public sector, you can have the surgery at Charlottenlund Private Hospital. The treatment guarantee has been increased to 60 days for a period of time, but has been lowered again to 30 days as of 1.1. 2025.


Selve proceduren foregår ved, at du modtager et brev i dine-boks om, at du har opnået ret til behandling gennem udvidet frit sygehusvalg. Derefter skal du selv kontakte den patientvejleder, der er tilknyttet det sygehus som du er henvist til. Du kan se aktuelle ventetider på Mit Sygehusvalg. Patientvejlederen sørger for at kontakte det valgte privathospital samt sende de nødvendige informationer. Til sidst skal dublot ringe til privathospitalet for at aftale nærmere angående behandlingen.


Please note that the 4-week waiting period is calculated as 30 days from the date the hospital in your region of residence receives a referral from your doctor until the date the treatment can start.


Rettigheder ved ændring af operationsdato

Har du fået tilbudt en operationsdato, som sygehuset efterfølgende ændrer, har du ligeledes ret til at vælge at få foretaget operationen på et privat aftalehospital – uanset omfanget for udsættelsen.

Udredningsgaranti

Udredningsgarantien kaldes også retten til hurtig udredning. Den træder i kraft, når du henvises til et offentligt sygehus af en læge for at blive udredt (undersøgt for, hvad dine symptomer skyldes), men ventetiden overstiger 30 dage. I offentligt regi er det ikke altid muligt at overholde denne tidsramme, og derfor opnår man retten til at blive udredt på et privathospital.


Ligesom ved behandlingsgaranti foregår det praktiske omkring anvendelsen af udredningsgarantien gennem en patientvejleder. Patientvejlederen fungerer som kontaktperson mellem dig og privathospitalet. Som privathospital begynder vi først udredningen, når indkøbsordren og journalen er modtaget – ikke før.

    Udvidet frit sygehusvalg betyder, at De har ret til at blive udredt, undersøgt behandlet på et privathospital, hvis De skal vente mere end 30 dage på et offentligt sygehus.

    Frit sygehusvalg gælder kun for offentlige sygehuse. Det er Deres ret til at vælge et ønsket offentligt sygehus. Som borger i Danmark kan De frit vælge mellem alle offentlige sygehuse og afdelinger til Deres behandling.

  • With private health insurance, you can be treated at a private hospital without a waiting period. You do not need to be referred from a public hospital first.   • Use of public health insurance

    At the same address we also have a public ear, nose and throat clinic by specialist Jesper Balle. Here, patients who have a "Health Card" (the yellow health insurance card) are treated. The ENT clinic is an independent unit located at the same location as the private hospital. The clinic is owned by Jesper and is not related to the free public hospital choice or use of private health insurance. Contact us if you have any questions about the above.

If you wish to have surgery through the expanded free hospital choice at Charlottenlund Private Hospital, you simply need to contact the patient counselor at the hospital that has referred you. The patient counselor will then ensure that your referral is forwarded to us so that you can contact us.
