Charlottenlund Private Hospital is one of Denmark's largest and leading private hospitals within, among other things, ear, nose and throat diseases, rheumatology, neurology and skin diseases. We also have a large clinic for sleep treatment, including the assessment and treatment of sleep apnea and insomnia, as well as a diving medical clinic. Soon to follow is a department for aviation medicine, a department for cardiology and pediatrics. Charlottenlund Private Hospital is also one of the leading places in Denmark within the treatment of tight tongue ties.
As a special feature, we offer surgery on very young children up to 6 months old under full anesthesia.

Investigation and study
At Charlottenlund Private Hospital, a professional and safe process is offered from first contact to completed treatment. The hospital has short waiting times, modern facilities and a high level of professional expertise. Patients meet experienced specialists who ensure a thorough examination and an individually tailored treatment plan.
The evaluation process may include clinical consultations, imaging studies and laboratory tests. Once the diagnosis is made, treatment is planned, which can range from medical and conservative treatment to surgical interventions – depending on needs and wishes.
Access via health insurance
Many patients come to Charlottenlund Private Hospital through private health insurance. If you have insurance, it typically covers both examination and treatment at the private hospital, so the patient can get quick access to specialists without having to pay for the procedure themselves. It is often the employer who provides the health insurance, but many have also taken out it privately. The procedure is agreed directly between the insurance company and the hospital, which makes the process simple and clear for the patient.
Access via the expanded free hospital choice (DUF)
Charlottenlund Private Hospital also receives patients through the DUF scheme (The Extended Free Hospital Choice). If the waiting time in the public sector exceeds 30 days, the patient has the right to be referred to a private hospital at no extra cost. This also applies to patients from other regions - and regardless of whether you live in Region Midtjylland, Zealand, North or South - you have the right to treatment through the extended free hospital choice.
The referral is made via your own doctor or the public hospital, after which Charlottenlund Private Hospital can quickly offer time for both examination and treatment.
This scheme allows patients to avoid long waiting times and instead gain quick access to treatment at a private hospital with a focus on quality, proximity and personal care.

At Charlottenlund Private Hospital, we perform a large number of surgeries within the ear, nose and throat area every year - including sinus surgeries (CAS FESS), removal of tonsils and polyps, treatment of the middle ear, insertion of drains, closing of holes in the eardrum, balloon dilations and much more.

Fantastic experience. "I had my eardrum restored, where I first went to Jacob Fisker for an examination. Really good treatment with good guidance (I'm a diver and Jacob took the trouble to check my Eustachian tubes, etc., that had never happened in the public sector). Shortly afterwards I was on the operating table, again a really good experience, with competent staff, friendly and explanatory, etc. I have even asked questions by email, after which I have received prompt answers, even from the doctor himself... :-) I can strongly recommend Charlottenlund Private Hospital - and now also with its own Diving Clinic.
